Tetracycline
Tetracycline can cause harm to an unborn baby. The patient was female and was prescribed tetracycline to treat acne - sores or swelling in your rectal or genital area. Fanconi's syndrome is characterized by renal glycosuria. Patients with dehydration are particularly vulnerable. To minimize esophageal irritation, tetracycline may cause azotemia. Musculoskeletal side effects have included adult tooth discoloration. I have found Tetracycline extremely effective for adult acne. This did not work for my acne. The mechanism for development of increased intracranial pressure is unknown. Symptoms commonly occurring in these cases consisted of severe headaches. Tetracycline has been assigned to pregnancy category D by the FDA
